Based on an award-winning, highly-stylised Japanese cartoon of the same name, this totally original puzzle adventure game stars tons of unusual and comical characters that ooze a haunting and spooky atmosphere. Gregory Horror Show stars Gregory as a hideously mis-shaped square-headed mouse who acts as the caretaker of a unique hotel. Gregory Horror Show puts players into a role as themselves, as they have lost their way and wander into a hotel called Gregory House, but soon find that leaving is not quite as simple as entering. Gregory House is no ordinary hotel, but a weird alternate, fourth dimension, reminiscent of a dreamlike state. While searching for an exit, players encounter Death who promises to return the player to their own dimension if they collect all the wandering souls locked in the hotel. The other guests are not eager to hand over their spirits so players will have to exploit their weaknesses if they are to gain enough souls to escape. In order to find out these weak points players will need to search for clues, solve puzzles and even spy on the behaviour of other guests by peeping through their keyholes. Time plays a crucial role in Gregory Horror Show with all the guests keeping to strict schedules - when they watch television, when they eat and when they sleep. Players must note the behaviour of fellow guests if they are to calculate the optimum time to try and take their souls. Players must beware; for once they've stolen a soul, the furious guest will give chase and hunt them down. In order to escape, they will have to quickly run and hide before the guest unleashes their special attack that will drain 'mentality points,' a measure of the characters level of sanity. Once the mentality points are gone, the character will end up just as crazy and trapped as the rest of the inhabitants.
